I'm wondering how many bites this CL poster will get -- no pictures, yet asking $5,000.00 -- with an alleged appraised value of $25,000
Must be, ummm, quite the coveted model!

Hmmm, I dont think I've ever heard of a $25,000 Victrola. HMV yes, but Victrola, no.
I dont think they go much above $10,000 do they??
Maybe he has the "Roof top" Orthophonic?

I suppose some of the period and custom Victrola may hit $25k. Hard to say. Anyone recall what the Gothic that was up for sale a while back went for?
Granted, I do think the seller is blowing smoke, but there are a few Victrolas that I do believe may wander up to that neighborhood (albeit none of the standard line).

If I remember right....A Morrish case 1909 Victrola sold for over 40K a few years back to a collector on the West Coast.

John, do you know if there are any pictures on web for this model? I have
not heard of this style and can't seem to find any info on it.

There is (was) a Moorish L-door in the midwest and it went to the east coast when he moved and he still owns it. There are some pics for you guys to drool over......
It really is a sweet machine.....

lol, drool...or throw up

Surely anyone who'd drool over that thing would be drooling at it's value, not it's beauty.
It looks like a Moroccan toilet
