Where's the best/cheapest place to get a repro 101 carrying handle?

(I'd prefer a repro, so I'd feel just a little more comfortable using it.)

Thanks, everyone!

Carrying, I usually think of the "winding handle" as the crank, but I forgot the term can mean both for UK collectors.

I edited it to fix the confusion.

there are at least 3 different HMV 101 carrying handles so you need to put up a pic of what you need

That's interesting, I didn't know that about the 101. It's just a plain black pre-auto-brake (1927-1929) with the leather completely gone on the handle.

I try'd finding repro ones online but I couldn't find a source.

Try here: http://zwarteschijf.nl/show-serie.php?serie=38 (you'll need to scroll down a bit to see the handles)

I've ordered several from him and they are really quite good. Note that he is in the Netherlands, so shipping costs a bit more. Don't forget that the price is in Euros (they're still a bargin!)

He usually sells on eBay, but nothing currently. Yes, great handles, and great bargain!

I have dealt with this seller for years and highly recommend him. He stocks many useful parts in addition to carrying handles.

I looked at the ones on his site, they appear to be the handles meant for loops and not the metal strip.

Can they work for both?

These are not meant for loop style handles. If you look closely at the picture you'll see the double row of stitching down the center that surrounds the metal band (just like the originals!
