What can I do to replace the diaphragm in my Columbia Lyric reproducer?
Thanks,

How trashed is the diaphragm?
I had one Lyric stepped mica diaphragm where the rivet was out of the middle--replaced it with the celluloid cone from an old Edison Amberola diaphragm and a loop of string or floss. It sounded wonderful.

Unfortunately, it is totally trashed. Looks like something was shoved into the throat and ruined it. It might be time to experiment, but I really did not want to spend a lot of time on this.

Edison Copper diaphragms can be used, or its not too difficult to make a new stepped mica diaphragm

That's not a bad idea either. I have a baby food jar of mica that I got in a box lot of junk at an auction.

Contact Wyatt Markus and have him rebuild it with one of our Figure 6 diaphragms.

What, exactly, is a "Figure 6" diaphragm?
