The record is in great shape. I like this recording, but it lacks pizzaz that it should have to my ears. Not terrible, but not great. I'm not a French language expert, but I don't think his French pronunciation is all that good compared to other versions I have heard. But, it is an interesting singer not well known in the USA during his career. He sang most of his career in Vienna where he was revered.
