One of my absolute favorite records from the late 1920s. A great toe tapper of a song. I think it is impossible to be in a bad mood while this song plays.

I have a small collection of Ted Weems records and I play them often. My favorite recording he made is "My baby just cares for me". I don't own a copy, but I hope to own one some day. Thanks for posting this.

Nice sound from the recording. Did you perform any restoration on the original recording ?

The Diamond Cut Production people sell a version by the California Ramblers of the song on their Laterals #2

I cleaned up the sound a bit removing clicks and pops from the original 78, but not too much more. Just a little equalization to make it sound more natural.

It's a really great transfer, as usual. Weems' Victors have always been a collecting passion for me. With no exceptions I can think of, they are all very much worth the price of admission.

Thanks for posting this.

A really super record; Ted Weems is my favourite band on Victor (some were issued here in UK on HMV). "Washing dishes with my sweetie" is a favourite of mine.

Here is the other side. Has a blast on the first chord, but good after that.
