Is this as incredibly awesome as I think it is???

Post by LShaped »

Talk-O-Phone Phonograph Traveling Salesmen’s Trunk. This is a huge trunk that a traveling salesman would have hauled around the country by train or horse & carriage back around 1906 when the very first phonographs were invented!! It's 37” tall x 36” wide x 21” deep and is on its original casters. An early American Phonograph and Entertainment piece history! If im locked in much longer...who knows what else I may find!!! woooooooooooooo. I really love this!!! Hope the $450 i gave is a fair deal!!!

Congratulations!! It is very cool and seems a reasonable price. Now you just need a correct model Talk-o-phone machine to display with it.

Yes--yes, it is as incredibly awesome as you think.

I like the record holders in the lid.

That's been advertised for a while now. You can maybe deal some on the price.

EDIT: OH, I see you already bought it! Cool!

I wondered what happened to Don’s stuff after he passed. He was one of the last surviving members of the House of David in Benton Harbor MI.

He also had an Edison B-60 Diamond Disc on it’s matching record cabinet which was quite spectacular, along with a very early Lyradion combination of 1922 vintage which used a regenerative set of Lyradion’s own manufacture.
