Another lockdown project. I decided to rebuild the soundbox. The linkage between the body and arm is rubber bonded to the back of the body and fixed with 3 screws into a metal ring, sandwiched in the rubber. Unfortunately the rubber is hard and crumbled when I tried to remove it. This rubber also goes through as a tube to the front(see photo). Can anyone post any information on this soundbox and whether anyone makes a repro rubber.

I have most models of Pathé sapphire reproducers and none of them have a rubber in between the body and the arm. My guess: this rubber might have been added by a previous owner (to try to improve the sound?).
