Hi everyone,
I hope all of you and your families are doing well in this strange and difficult time.
I'm glad to introduce myself to you, being a new member of the forum.
My name is Enrico and I live in Florence (Italy). My father was a very important collector of phonographs and gramophones. I inherited a huge collection. The pieces are mainly American (Edison, Victor, Columbia, Zonophone etc), but I also have many Pathé phonographs and gramophones, as well as objects of other European brands (HMV, Parlophone, Odeon, Paillard, Thorens etc.). Of course, I have many Italian objects, such as La Voce del Padrone (the Italian production house of His Master's Voice), Phonobella, Bonomi etc.
I also have many spare parts which, like the collection, I am cataloging and identifying. These are original pieces and not reproductions.
I became an "expert" studying the history and characteristics of the talking machines in the books of Tim Fabrizio and George Paul, but surely for me it is a great opportunity to be able to exchange ideas and opinions with great experts and enthusiasts like you.
I have chosen some photos from the collection to share with you.
Happy viewing and see you soon on the forum!
