Many of us link to YouTube videos in our posts, and you may have noticed that the embedding isn't always working properly. The previous advice was to use http and not https so that the video embedding work work properly. However, thanks to a post from user Melvind, that advice has now changed:

To embed your YouTube video properly, be sure to use https in the link, not http. If you use https, the link should work properly.

Other previous advice about the format of the link (e.g., use youtube.com, not youtu.be) still applies.
