New To Me: An Electrola 10-70

I followed up on a lead for records and ended up with this Electrola 10-70 also. From the Victor Data book, they were made in 1927 and they cost $1100. It uses an early tube amplifier. It comes with a full set of record boxes and the record loader spindle. There are some posts on U-tube as to how they sound. Thanks to Wayne (Victrola Monkey) for making the potmetal replacement parts. I bought a spare set when I needed them for my 10-50. Also thanks to Carlton Smith for transportation and restoration advice.

That looks lovely. Congratulations! I hadn't seen one of these available for a good long while, and this looks to be a great example.

Nice! That is one great machine. Is the finish original? I'm thinking there may have been a choice of finishes when they were new. Cheers, Russie

I believe the finish to be original. I hope to get the amplifier rebuilt and the mechanism repaired with Victrola-Monkey's cast parts.
