For your consideration, here is a Columbia BS Coin-Op case....no mechanism. It has the original glass, however the curved glass is broken. The case also has the original tags with model and serial number tag, the top and side metal trim pieces, lock but no key, and all four feet.

The right person could make a complete machine from this if they have access to the mechanism and coin-op parts. Also could be used to complete a BS that is missing the model and serial number tag.

Asking price is $700 plus shipping. Offers considered. First one to say SOLD gets it. Personal check only on this one.

Yes, you were the first to reply and I'm sorry you feel that way, but your PM had no message content, it was blank. I sent you back a PM indicating that. Then your email that you sent me offered an amount well below my asking price of which I considered but did not accept, and I responded to you as such.

The next person to respond to my ad made an offer MORE than what I was asking. Done Deal.

It's not always easy to sell here on the Trader. Many Forum members are well known and receive communication by test, email, phone, or a PM. Does an offer at less than the stated price imply there is a hold on the item? Does a question about the item imply a hold?

Over time I've learned to be quite specific. To avoid various communication I've written that the buyer is the first to PM "SOLD!" I've also encouraged PMs regarding questions or interest and I've also said that questions or an offer do not imply that the item is on hold. The pages on the Trader turn quite quickly. A experienced tire kicker could possibly tie up an item for quite some time.

If an item is offered for $100 and I offer $80 by PM and someone else follows my PM by five minutes and offers the full price, should I be upset if I'm not given the opportunity to up my offer? I don't think so.

If I'm the seller and offer something for $100 and I receive a PM saying "SOLD!", the item is sold. I will not accept an offer for any amount after the asking price is met. I don't run Trader auctions.

There are no formal Forum rules about anything other than how the thread is written. The rest is up to the seller and potential buyers.

Sorry Jerry but bottom line is that Mark was wrong. I can see what happened. The original listing said offers were considered. Mark went from saying that he did not get a message, to he got the message with a $600 offer and then he let the cat out of the bag and said the final buyer paid more than asking price. Bottom line is that he did get an offer from Ticticdok and before he could acknowledge it or negotiate it, he received an offer from another buyer willing to pay more. The only time that I have seen this happen is when an item is potentially sold and someone is trying to get it before it is lost. Ticticdok was first in line and was negotiating. Mark could have at least said that he had an offer at full price from someone else and given the first responder the first choice. This would be the responsible and ethical thing to do. Bad seller in my book, and I do not play games like this. Ive had people do it to me too, and I just leave them alone..Basic credibility seems thrown out the window for a few dollars...

I wonder if there was a glitch with personal messages a couple of days ago. I also received one with no content. Sounds like I wasn't the only one. Jerry

There wasn’t a glitch Jerry because he knew the amount. The question here was the lack of integrity on the sellers part. We have a lot of great people on this forum and this is no reflection on you whatsoever. I’m done with this! Hope whoever it is enjoys your BS case...
