Stewart Reproducer Rebuild Advice

Has anyone successfully rebuilt one of the later type pressed reproducer.
I have one with a broken mica and detached needle-bar.
I cannot see how the bar would attach to the diaphragm:
It does not have any obvious fixing ie screw eye of threaded end.
I can only assume that It was pushed through and fixed with adhesive?
The other issue is re-gasketing the mica:
Unless the pressed in bezel can be removed I can only think of replacing the mica with a 50mm item which just fits the opening and making custom oversize rubber seals similar in method to the Decca Telesmatic (which has a one piece body.
Anyone manage to rebuild one of these. I would really like some advice please
