I have too much time  I made a paper mache amberola 30 horn and a piece of wood to put my phone in. It works pretty good :D

Thoughts on this?

It's kinda neat. You obviously have too much time on your hands.

A few years ago, Bob Baumbach of LFTG fame made and sold a similar device made of plastic that is a mini Orthophonic horn.

That’s what I had thought! It does look a little odd with the horn shaped like that but it’s still pretty cool.

Found this at a thrift shop today..... it’s loud but sounds like a tin can. My paper one sounded much better

I was just looking at this again and wondered if you could use a balloon as a mould to create the flare of the horn. The tied end of the balloon would form the narrower part of the flare with the rest of it forming an exponential flare. Just a thought. And I like your idea by the way. I also notice that cool electric radiola beneath your machines. Is it working? I have seen similar on you tube and they sound great.

Thanks! I refinished the cabinet when we got it out of our barn. I fixed up the radio, but I lost the needle when I carried it down to my garage   . I believe I can still fix it, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. The radio sounds really good! Its a Sonora Cabinet.
