Return of the home record cutter

Evidently, somebody in Japan has brought out a disk cutter for the home. Can a revival of the Recordio Disk company be far behind?

Good Grief- NO! A loudspeaker voice coil coupled to a incisor rod of some type ? A sonic abomination !

Well this is the Victrola forum; what we call awesome is pretty much everyone else's idea of a "sonic abomination" too.
The little Gakken machine sounds better than their last one (which was a front-mounted windup machine.) I'm glad records are getting more popular.

Probably could be made to run at 78, but steel playback needles would cut the discs to ribbons.

I’ve got an electric turntable, but even then I’m sure they don’t sound good
