Hello all
I'm trying to discern the value of an 1898 Berliner Trademark phonograph. I'd think it would be in the $3200-3500 range. Any thoughts or comments?
Thanks!

A lot depends on condition and authenticity. Many have some reproduction parts. Could you share some pictures and details?

"$2000, buyer pays shipping. This is a very nice presentable machine that will play all day long. final reduction.

Yes, that was mine. No idea why the photos disappeared. I wound up selling it to Taiwan off my website in 2017 for $2800. Keep in mind, though, it did have repro parts.
Prices have plunged, even since then. Lots of machines used to get sold to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China, but the tariff situation and other things put a halt to that by 2018.
I think it has a LOT to do with finding the right buyer. Things can languish on here at bottom feeder prices, but sell on eBay for 2015 prices... sometimes.
