I picked up this Victor O from a friend in Wisconsin on my recent Union trip. I enjoy a good project. Is there anyone that would only repair the tone arm?

The case will possibly look OK with a gentle cleaning and maybe a little wax. But that horn! Ugh! I don't know who painted it, but it's not to my liking.

Hey. You asked. ;)

Paint the brown/ black parts of the horn green. Problem solved! Quack, quack! After all, it IS a Model Image, right?

Anyone have a suggestion for an off the shelf rattle can that's close to the original Victor O horn color?

Thanks, Jerry B.

If you take a good picture of a correct horn, or better, get someone with a correct horn to go to a good paint store or auto body shop they can scan it and match the color, or at least let you know the RGB numbers.

AZ, I also appreciate your advice. But close inspection revealed that the top board was tapped off. When returned it was secured with little finish nails. I tapped them down and filled them in an attempt to hide them. So I've started down the refinishing path.

When I stripped the horn I found blue paint under the more recent yellow with brown trim. I didn't notice any traces of the original yellow.
