SOLD: 1901 Mahogany Berliner Trademark - $6250
Posted: Mon Jun 22, 2020 7:04 pm
This is a “Near Mint” Original 1901 Mahogany French Gramophone & Typewriter Style #5 Trademark machine with a “Rare” Copper Horn. The Pictures speak for themselves. Beautiful Original Mahogany Finish and Decal. Beautiful Original Nickel and Turntable Felt. Beautiful Polished and Lacquered Copper Horn, possible replacement elbow. Machine plays as good as it looks. I am including Four 7” G&T French Berliner Records, a French Needle Tin, and a French HMV Display Piece.
I purchased this machine from Rene Rondeau a few years back. He purchased it from Jalal Aero of La Phonogalerie, Paris (http://www.phonogalerie.com/lang-english/) in 2010.
I know that the phonograph market has been soft, therefore I have decided to put a price of $6250 on it, (which I believe is a steal for this fine machine). You won’t find a nicer one!
Please P.M. or Email with any questions
Cheers, Bob S.
