Does the Brunswick York with a Ultona soundbox require special needles?

Hi,
The Brunswick York is a good machine. I have owned two of them and will soon get another Brunswick phonograph. The Ultona reproducer takes standard steel needles for playing regular 78 RPM records. However, the Pathé records need a special sapphire needle. Some Ultonas have an Edison stylus built in and some have just the two needle configuration.

It was made during the era of acoustic records. There are sources for the needles in the Links Section.
