Need help with adjusting half-nut

I have recently acquired an Edison triumph phonograph.
As I have no experience with cylinder photographs, I was wondering how you adjust a half nut on a triumph as I can't get it to engage properly.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

If the half nut does not engage the feed screw you might try a paper shim between the half nut and where it connect to the half nut bar.

...and as I have learned the hard way, the half nut is directional. Make sure you don't reverse it when you reconnect it to the bar. For more information, see here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=44410&hilit=triumph+half+nut

As posted by "Governor Flyball", in the forum thread which is linked above;

"Feed Nut alignment: The last important adjustment is to ensure the threads of the feednut line up properly in line with the feed screw. You will notice the two screws on the feednut spring holding it to the carriage. Loosen the two screws, lower the carriage so the feednut engages the feed screw and while lightly applying downward pressure on the feednut with your finger, gently move the carriage slightly to and fro until the feednut is properly seated into the thread of the feedscrew. This is an especially important adjustment for if the feedback is not properly seated, the feed will be intermittent and will be guaranteed to slip."

An excellent description!!!
