Driving from Washington DC to Riverside, CA

I just drove to Washington DC, with my son. He got a new job in DC, and I rented a mini van and we filled it to overflowing with his stuff. Now I am helping him get settled here, and will soon be starting back home with my now nearly empty mini van. I am headed towards NC, then to Florida, then through Alabama on way to Missouri. Thinking about seeing Mt. Rushmore (thanks for reminding me of Mt Rushmore Jerry Blais!), and then Yellowstone before heading back to Riverside. The only states I have never been too are Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, so if I go, that will complete all 50! Room to transport a phono from East to West, if you are near my route. Also interested in cylinders and cylinder phonographs/parts. Unfortunately, I only have my phone with me to type/read messages.

You can also use your mobile phone for browsing into the Forum, reading PMs, etc. if it has web browser, etc. I believe I've been using the phone for lurking into the Forum for months! I even don't remember the last time I saw it on the home pc!
It's easier if when entering your name and password, and before pressing LOGIN, you check the REMEMBER ME box, or something alike. Then you enter and login automatically on each visit. That's it : LOGIN AUTOMATICALLY ON EACH VISIT.
Of course, it is very small to read and write. I have the advantage of myopia, so I read and write without glasses ...

Mike, will you be passing through Nashville, Tennessee? I have a Victor Schoolhouse there that needs to be transported. I’m in central Arizona and could travel to the I-40 or I-10 corridors to rendezvous for pick-up.

John, it’s possible this may work. I just saw that as I drive from Alabama to Missouri I will pass through Nashville again (I was also there last week). This wouldn’t be until next Sunday or Monday.
And, when I return home to Riverside, I’m not sure of my exact route yet, but will be near Arizona.
Send me a pm with your phone number and I will give you a call when I get back on the road later this week.

Thanks Inigo—I am using my mobile phone. It is just a lot more difficult to type anything longer than a few sentences!!

If you make the trip through Nashville, you’ll probably come through Knoxville on your way out west! If so, my house is very close to the highway, I would enjoy meeting you! We can even spin a few records

Had a great visit with Mike Sorter this evening. **Thanks for coming by, Mike! It's always fun to have other collectors stop in to see our collection and to be able to talk about the hobby without them looking for the nearest exit!
Glad you found a few treasures to take back to CA with you. Have a safe trip!!

Mike - if you are traveling on I90 through Montana/Idaho, stop by and visit us in Coeur d'Alene, ID.

Thanks Brad for the great visit and hospitality—and late into the night! I’m glad we were able to get together. You have a WONDERFUL collection and it was a pleasure talking with you and seeing your phonographs!
