The Edison Gem Model B was introduced late in 1905. It was an improvement over the earlier Model A having a true crank instead of a key. For a precious few months, it was released with the Banner decal on the case. After that, the more common Edison Script decal was used.

Here we have an excellent Edison Banner Case B. This would have been produced late in 1905, or very early in 1906.

This Edison Gem Model B has an absolutely fantastic case that has a wonderful Banner decal. Look at the pictures in detail, the veneer and edges are wonderful. Guaranteed original finish and decal!! The case just shines, and that's original. It has not been over-spayed!!! It is one of the nicest cases I have ever seen. The mechanism itself is in similar wonderful condition. Great paint, great pen striping. Super nickel plating. The machine has the correct Edison Model C reproducer. No over 100 year old machine is perfect, I would call out some minor pitting in one area on the end of the mandrel, and minor chipping on the lower belt pulley. Neither effect the play, or significantly impact the overall beauty of this machine.

This machine comes with the horn shown. It looks fantastic, though I assume it is a very old reproduction.

This machine has been fully serviced. A new spring has been installed and powers the machine easily through a record. The jewel in the Model C is good. This machine plays really loud, but does not blast. Take a look at the pictures:
This is a super example of a harder to find Edison Gem Model B. Its a great item to add to your collection.
