When Edison came out with his line of 1A, 1B, III and Opera phonographs, home recording was still something that folks enjoyed doing.
To meet the expected demand, Edison produced a recording attachment to work with these machines. However, the demand must not have been that great, because there are precious few of these original around today! In fact, I know of less than 6 of these originals in private collections.
