This is the definition of "excess" imo, but beautiful nonetheless.

It looks beautiful and is right near me, but unfortunately out of my price range at the moment.

Your definition is "excess" (as opposed to minimalist)... my definition is high end cabinetry...

Yeah, I'm really struggling to find the right word to describe it. Because it is breathtaking work. That cavernous cabinet with it's many openings seems smartly designed to amplify. Excess doesn't capture it.Curt A wrote:Your definition is "excess" (as opposed to minimalist)... my definition is high end cabinetry...
I can't help but notice a uncanny resemblance to the debated record cabinet I posted here a few weeks ago.
I'm trying to think of a modern equivalent. I'm guessing when we used to buy those h period entertainment cabinets for our CRT tvs. But I don't think it's an accurate comparison.

Before the photos of this fabulous machine disappear I have downloaded them all to put here
I am interested in all forms of audio media including: gramophones, phonographs, wire recorders, the tefifon, reel to reel tapes, radiograms and radios.
