I’m in search of a Regina On/Off lever like one pictured. If anyone has one I would appreciate it. Already checked with Meeks, but no luck. Is there a machinist here on the forum that could possibly make one? Thanks!

Last resort, clean up your original, buy a 25cent brass washer close to the same size and using a small file, try to duplicate the rectangle hole.. then solder it on.. There is next to no tension on that on/off lever. It's just a small rod that interrupts the fan blade on the spinning governor.

I don't imagine you have the broken off piece?

Soldering a patch on is a good idea. I would use silver solder* as it would look like brass and be much stronger. True, it does not require much force to operate, but then it did break somehow, even though it was solid brass to begin with.

*Not the stuff sold at big-box stores that looks like plain solder. Get the brassy looking kind that's a bit expensive, as well as some flux. Perhaps from McMaster-Carr, mcmaster.com. You'll find future use for what's left over, no doubt.

Made this this morning from a brass nut and some brass flat stock that I had.. Yours for free if you think you can use it. Just cover the cost of shipping.

I had no measurements to go by so I guessed. Total length is 4 inches.. you will still have to fine tune the mounting hole for your machine with a small file. Might have to squash the end in a vise to tighten it up..
