Dried leather parts?

I was checking a brake on a machine that had a hard time stopping and found that the leather shoe was rock hard and thought I would replace it with a new piece. So, I tried this stuff after removing the old leather, since I didn't have a replacement anyway, and it worked amazingly. The leather is now restored to a soft, pliable consistency... I would recommend this to anyone that needs to restore old leather. I bought two jars after using it on another leather project, it's great stuff.
