Hello all,

I saw that John Nagy is selling roller bearings for both Standard and Home machines. Has anyone tried these? Are they any better than a regular brass bearing?

Thanks in advance.

Roller bearings are bound to be better than brass bushings...

I was thinking the same. I may order a set and see what the difference is.

Roller bearings have way less friction than bushings do. Ball bearings have even less friction.

I use roller bearings in all my repairs. I make and sell them for the Edison Home and Triumph and they are for sale on Ebay or contact me directly.

One will for for the Standard, but I like to use two of them, one at the front of the casting and one at the back. If you are careful when you install them, the oil screw in the top still fits in the casting and can be used to oil them occasionally.

Dave, thank you for the help. Could you please post the link here for eBay? I can’t seem to find them.

Thanks again.

These are for Homes and Triumphs. They are different from the one needed for the Standard.
