This Babson Brothers horn came into the shop and it has issues. One of the seams is almost completely undone and the end piece is missing. The paint inside has potential.

I'd hate to see this made into a lamp. Any thoughts?

Too far gone for me, without some major repair and a repaint.

Someone used to make repro horn ends for cylinder horns, don't know if they are still available. If you decide to fix it, send that pic of the Babson decal to Gregg Cline and have him reprint it for use after a repaint. I have one in about the same condition where someone cut the end off... I 'm thinking of making it into a hanging lamp for my phonograph room. It's already screwed up and I would never consider messing up a good one...
