This machine is going up for auction near me in a few days and I can't tell if it's real or a frankenphone. Possibly a client machine like Columbia made? It has no markings on it. Any info is appreciated. Thanks! -Nick

It has a columbia soundbox and tonearm, and what looks like a columbia brake and speed control. I put my bets on a columbia client machine.

It seems to be a dead ringer for the Improved Royal (BNW) Disc Graphophone, as illustrated on page 91 of the Columbia Phonograph Companion, Vol II by Robert Baumbach.

The case's dimensions are:
Height 7 ⅛"
Width 14 ⅝"
Depth 14 ⅝"
From what I can tell, the case has been refinished, and has lost its decal.

Sure looks like a Columbia BNW to me. This is the machine on the Wiederseim Auction in Pennsylvanian.
