I need the felt "buttons" for the record holders, to match the platter as close as possible. I ordered some on feepay that were supposed to be correct, but wound up being way off. There is another seller that has what looks like the proper color platter felts, but no buttons of the same color advertised. He didn't respond when I asked about possible availablity. Does anyone know where I can get them? Thanks!

If you really want them exactly the same as original, then buy a turntable with decent felt, strip the felt off and punch out a few of the round pads. Or, buy the new turntable felt that you say is very close and cut the pads out of that. (Would save a nice original turntable from the first suggestion I made)

I'm not looking for exact, nor am I looking to ruin a nice original or spend a ton of money buying a whole platter circle and then buying a punch I will never use again for two ½" buttons that I can get 4 of any other color for under $5....Is the color of what I have so different from any others? Has mine faded that drastically, even though the platter and support buttons are the exact same color (even underneath)... I just was hoping someone had closer colored ones....

You're welcome.

If you have the corner felts for the front edge, use those on the record rack and get brown ones for the corners. Or put 4 brown ones on the rack, or put a stack of records there so you won't notice the missing felt...or whatever.

I apologize if I was somehow offensive, It wasn't intentional. I do appreciate the suggestions. I just want to do it right and have it look good. If all the felts should be the same color I have to make them match the platter felt as closely as possible, faded or not. Since the platter felt's in good shape overall, replacing it isn't an option. My lid corner felts are nearly black, so they are going, too... Thank you for the suggestions.

No problem. If you do find some felt of the color you want, I probably have a ½" punch I could lend you or you could send me the felt and I'll punch it for you.

I have various Original Orthophonic platter felts I salvaged for that very reason. I also always punch those rounds from the scraps of every new Merino wool platter felt I cut. You never knoiw when you will need them

PM me with an address and I will send you some and see if they match.

Thank you both for the generous offers! Let's see what original color/quality we can come up with first. PM to follow, Kurt. Maybe I'm being too anal?
