The "REFLECTAGRAM" and The "CORNETTOPHONE".

Just imagine that in the 1920 s any "dodgy" gramophone dealer could sell a "REFLECTAGRAM" to a wealthy titled person with no knowledge of acoustics or mirrors!
The "CORNETTOPHONE" came from an idea that an empty ice cream cone could be a good horn for a toy gramophone, as long as the cone had a hole in the bottom!
More to follow in a day or so, that may be even dafter than these.

These are very nice and funny inventions, and the decoration of the gramophones... Especially the Cornettophone with these ladies pictures all around !

Did the
Dodge E Co. happen to have a CEO by the name of Dibbler (or some variant thereof)?

Thanks Andy for your kind words.
I am leaving the most ridiculous gramophone cartoon till last of all, so it will appear in a couple of weeks or so. In between that I will send some others that I have found on my photos file, I think you, Graham, Seamus and Roger may have seen some of them before, but I thought the other chaps on the forum might like to see them as a bit of light relief!

Thanks, Alastair... for giving us some insight into the fascinating, unexplainable world of British humor. As a Monty Python fan, I always wondered at the sometimes outrageous graphic presentations that were used in their programs. For American audiences, they were somewhat puzzling, but I always enjoyed them...
