Excellent job... and oak too! That's a second style 50. If you are not aware, the first style 50 had a horn casting which came all the way up to the motorboard, the crank was slightly further to the right and the motorboard brackets were different. I learned this when I bought an empty cabinet for one in a beatup cabinet and nothing was interchangeable.

Funny story, this was explained on the very first video we saw when we googled Victor VV-50. But no one would have ever guessed that we would end up owing the same machine on that video! What are the odds of that?

Wow! That is nice. VV-50 is my first Victor machine, and the first machine I did a teardown and restoration on. Great machine to start with if you want to know how to restore a machine!

Those VV-50s are one of my favorite phonographs. I brought a ton of them. You did a nice job cleaning it up and it looks good. I like the earlier ones with the front crank. These things are sturdy and will take a lot of abuse. I like the oak ones better than the mahogany. Tom
