Is this a Victrola RE-75 in this W. C. Fields movie?

I saw this clip from a 1934 W. C. Fields movie, You're Telling Me!, and spotted a Victrola RE 75 I believe. You can even clearly see the decorated Victor albums in it. It appears about 3 minutes into the clip.

Why do they go thru the trouble of blocking up the phonograph compartment?

Just for the sake of consistency... You'd better move (or copy) this post to the "phonographs in movies" thread, already very long...

If I put it in that old thread, no one would see my title and I would get probably no response.

Potent quotable from the film:

MRS. BISBEE: "Suppose she were entertaining a nice young man in her home, and you came in looking like that, with your shoes off, suspenders down, and your breath smelling of cheap liquor?"

SAM BISBEE: "Cheap? Four dollars a gallon!"

Another one: (I'm paraphrasing)

Princess Lescaboura: Mrs. Bisbee, you're the luckiest woman on Earth.

Mrs. Bisbee: Is my husband dead?

I think the reason the phonograph compartment is blocked out is because, being a movie set, the Victrola has probably been gutted to make it easier to move around. Those Re-75s were Heavy!
