Early Johnson M – Presentable but Not Finished

This forum was such a huge help with this machine that I am now calling presentable, but not finished. It wasn’t apparent in the photos from the original posting but the horn was bent up pretty badly. John Duffy at Horn House did a masterful job or making it look beautiful. The wood arm is original but the hardware is a reproduction from Wyatt’s . I’m still unclear about what the original color was for the hardware and arm support. The motor is still louder that I would like and I have not yet tried to fill the four screw holes near the crank. I also want to find a more “period” reproducer at some point in the future. The one that came with is appears to be a Columbia long-throat reproduction. I have decided to leave the turntable felt as-is for now as it appears to be original. Here are the links to the previous posts.

Nice Machine! I love Eldridge Johnson M's! I have a whole stash of early Eldridge Johnson 10" records waiting to be played on one of these machines!
