Wow ! It looks like something out of the tv series 'Peaky Blinders'
I wonder what the subject matter is in the framed picture on the wall on the right ?
And are those drinking cups in front of the phonographs ?

Oh yeah, phonograph cylinders - It's all coming back to me now. Just let me look at the photograph one more time, I'm sure I have at least one more astute comment left to make

It looks as if Messrs. Street were staging a comparison between a Triumph and a (slightly older) Standard. As the horns appear identical and the only reproducer available for either machine in 1907 was the Model C, there should have been no difference in the sound – or, at least, so I should imagine.

Yes, the rather formal setting suggests that a demonstration was about to take place.
