Were Paillard GGR Double spring motor fitted to Sonora's ?
"These are so hard to find. Some of these motors may have been used on some Sonora models, but I spent years looking for one and couldn't turn one up.

I think I have located another GGR motor but the Vendor says they weren't used in Sonora's , Sonora's had American motors

Sonora may well have used motors from the Paillard range but the one shown in the link is not the large GGR 255 which looks like this :

Both my Sonora Melodie and my Chinoiserie Fullotone have Paillard motors, but not the GGR255. I would not like to see other machines cannibalised to re-motor EMG's, as happened in the classic car world between Lagondas and Aston Martins which shared the same engine.

All Sonoras used paillard motors, except perhaps the first models with linear tracking. I'm not sure what motors were in those first couple models?
Even early Sonora radiograms used electric turntables and pick ups made by Paillard.
The wooden tonearms that are on some high end Sonoras were also a Paillard product
