I've been trying for a while to restore a victor orthophonic schoolhouse machine I have, a VV-8-8... right now, I've got a gutted cabinet and the correct metal horn. I've got some other spare parts, but will need to fabricate a motor board, grill and reassamble with all the correct hardware.

I'll post some photos of what I have once I snap them hopefully this weekend. it's a really rare and interesting phonograph... and it's big but on wheels, so it's portable as well.

I've been having trouble finding someone I could pay to do this for me. so at this point, I'm considering finding an 8-9 and just cannibalizing it for the parts. might anyone have any suggestions? or know of an 8-9, any price/any condition for sale or trade?

you can email me directly if you like - brianu73 at hotmail.
