The great nephew of Henry Burr messaged me on Facebook about a Victrola Tabletop I had for sale. He wanted to know if he could buy some Henry Burr records with it. I sold him 2 extra copies I had.... but he is interested in finding some more copies!
If you've got any Henry Burr records you dont want, let me know!
Cheers,
David

It must be pretty cool to be related to Henry Burr. Has he tried eBay? A simple search yields over 500 auctions for Burr 78s.

Well, there are all the OTHER pseudonyms he used, as well. His real name was Harry Haley McClaskey and used Henry Burr as one of his many pseudonyms, in addition to Irving Gillette, Henry Gillette, Alfred Alexander, Robert Rice, Carl Ely, Harry Barr, Frank Knapp, Al King, and Shamus McClaskey, according to Wikipedia.
AFAIK Irving Gillette was used only with Edison.
"Burr" was also a founder, with Fred Van Eps, of Par- O- Ket Records.

They should be relatively easy to find, since every time I look through a box of records it seems that several show up. If I had any, you could have them... not a big fan...

Henry Burr was the only singer who recorded with Angelophone, for all 50 titles they released. I have 35 of those 50 available.
Angelophone was a short-lived label from ~1916 which was created by the Jehovah's Witnesses. The discs are etched labels, 7", vertically cut and all contain a hymn on one side and an explanatory talk on the other. Henry Burr recorded all the hymns.

Not to derail this thread, but did "Burr" even come close to the pseudonym king, Marion Slaughter, a.k.a. "Vernon Dalhart"?
