Happy that you posted these Bessie Smith tunes. I've been on a "Bessie jag" for the last month or so, including reading the biography of her by Chris Albertson. Columbia did her very dirty on her recording contract. It's a good read so far.

Oh yeah, and around the 1:02 mark in the video, that's Billie Holiday lying in state, not Bessie. Cheers!
