I have set the price low on this combination of two operas and a total of 4 reproducers because it is a pickup only sale in Houston, Tx. For someone who is able to pick up these machines and reproducers, it is a great deal. The Edison Mahogany Opera is original (Serial #702), runs great and has a great case and motor. The bedplate is also very nice with most of the pinstriping in tact. The horn is original and nice as well. The horn does have quite a bit of crazing on the outside and a little bit on the inside. As the pictures show, it is still a beautiful horn. If I kept it, I would probably take off the shellac on the outside with super fine sandpaper and respray it with shellac or lacquer. This sale also includes a restored Edison Oak Opera (Serial #4552) with a Concert tag. The motor serial number is #982. This opera also runs great. The horn is a reproduction horn made by Don Gfell. The bedplate was restored by Gregg Cline and looks great. I am also including 2 Diamond A reproducers and 2 L reproducers. All four were restored by Steve Medved. Payment is expected at time of sale. I would prefer that these be picked up by April 1. Please email me at pwest.fp@gmail .com with questions. I am also incuding 2 reproduction Helical gears which are hard to get and usally over $200/each. Also, the finish on the Oak case looks really good but it is possible it was restored. The Mahogany Case is all original. Will consider reasonable offers.
