Good day. I'm new to the forum here.
I have been very interested in phonographs for many years.
I already have a few in my collection.
Now I have sent myself a Bed Plate for Edison Home from the USA
to let. Was not well packaged. Huge damage!
She survived over 100 years. Now it is junk by bad shipping.
When it comes to shipping, the most important thing is packaging.
Nothing should move. Everything has to be fixed.
Damage can be seen in the picture.
Now my question.
How can I detach the upper pulley from the shaft with 2-4 minute gearing.
A small pin can be seen in the screw hole.
Is there a way to dismantle it?

How about attempting a repair with the JB Weld or equivalent epoxy repair? Maybe glue the edges and when that's cured apply to the underside for additional strength. Just an idea...

That is right, J B Weld will fix that easily. It is also black so you probably won’t even see it.

If JB Weld is not available, UHU Poly Max Glassklar will likely fix it.

But, to answer your question, there should be a small slotted screw down in that hole if memory serves.

The only way to loosen the pulley was by applying heat.
She was stuck with fat.
There was also a small pin under the small slotted screw.
He was also firm.
