Greetings. I have two questions about a 1931 Sparton 235 radio/record changer, as listed here: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/sparks_wit_235.html

1. Does anyone have any pictures of what the record changer should look like?

2. What's with the listed tube lineup? Is this a Canadian set?

Thanks, Chuck, very interesting. I can't for the life of me figure out, from the sketch, how that thing is supposed to work; or, for that matter, if the one in that cabinet with the busted up grille is what the changer is supposed to look like complete. Any thoughts?

It looks somewhat complete, not sure though. I'm stumped as to how this changes records.

I believe a stack of records is placed on the turntable. When the top record has finished playing it appears it is lifted off the pile, at a tilt, by part 1238-A and pushed into the left-side bin by the arm with the rubber piece.

The Facebook pictures suggests that the turntable spindle might retract downwards, perhaps the width of a record, after each play so that the record does not have to be lifted off so far.
