The "Acoustiphone"

Readers of the CLPGS magazine will know that I contribute a regular feature on unusual and interesting record covers.
No matter how interesting the cover, I cannot write an article to accompany it without enough background information.
Here is a case in point.

My friend and fellow forum member "Old Country Chemist" recently gave me this cover for "Garritt's" of Acoustiphone House, Leeds, who advertised themselves as "Sole Manufacturers of the Acoustiphone, the perfect gramophone." An on line search has failed to find any mention of Garritt's or the Acoustiphone. Can anyone help?

The scroll lettered logo is extremely attractive... Hope you find a machine to go with it.

The Acoustiphone trade mark was registered in 1921 to Arthur Garritt, at the 11 Chapeltown Road address. He was at 128, Beeston Road, Leeds in 1927, but the Chapeltown road premises was being run by Clement Garritt.

Whilst browsing the gramophone listings on www.the-saleroom.com I found this much modified Acoustiphone coming up for auction in Germany. I would have preferred to see the machine in it's original state, but at least I now know that at least one example survives.

Love the font for the Acoustiphone.
I wonder if the Superphone is the one made by Henry Seymour and what about the Kappaphone? Anyone seen one before?
