This is absolutely my own fault. The seller even posted a picture of the knobs near a ruler, it's just that their finger was in the picture as well and it looked like the right size! The fact that a pair of these brass knobs was only $2.65 as opposed to the $12-$25 folks are asking for Victrola knobs, I think I let my excitement get the better of me
I was looking for a new grab-knob for my VV-400. I've been using the door knob off a VV-X
You can see the one that I received in the mail on the left as opposed to the one I've been using on the right:
Now, you would think that would deter me and send me back to the drawing board. Not a chance! I know have the blingiest grab-knob in
my VV-400, you can't miss it AND it didn't require any modification to the board so, until the real thing comes along or falls in my lap, this
knob'll do

Bigger is better to lift the motorboard safely!

When you later change to the correct one... You'll miss it!

I can well understand what you mean.
My father used to say 'act in haste, repent at leisure' - and I have acted in haste a lot - sometimes though, just sometimes, I have been so very pleased that I did.
Funny thing, I need a grab knob and the one you have bought would be absolutely ideal ! Looks good and does the job better.

I got two of these, send me a message with your address and I'll mail it to you. It's got a bit of a scrape on the top but it seems it's solid brass, it might polish out.

That is a really unexpected and kind offer.
If you are not careful, you might restore my faith in humanity !
Thank you.

Stick with what you have there, just make up a story about it being a very rare and unusual variant dubbed the "Big Knob 400"

Ha! That's the one I
was using, just couldn't see spending $12 for one and now look where I am.
With that said I am looking for a pair of nickel ones for doors on my VV-X if anybody has parts they're looking to find a home for.
It's just for what they're going for on eBay, I could buy a wrecked machine around here and use the parts off of that instead...
... though I hate the thought of parting out a machine. It would have to be
really wrecked.
