Serial #4 Edison Standard on eBay

Edison Standard Cylinder Phonograph #4, made on the first day of Edison Standard production in February of 1898. This fourth Standard off the assembly line was featured in the George L. Frow Edison Cylinder Phonograph Companion book.

Is this a repost of the same phonograph posted a month earlier for a cheaper price with out the add ons ???? Tom

If I recall, that one was s/n 3 wasn't it?

The earlier listing was priced at $6,999.00 - now it's $9,250.00... $2,250.00 extra for repro listening tubes and 2 cylinders.
I think the first listing was Wyatt's in Rochester, NY - now the seller is someone in Westerville, OH trying to flip it...

I think there is a certain price where people that really want something will not buy . There is the price range that says I can do with my number 110 standard and not pay out almost ten grand for a fairly (but low number) common item. I feel his flip will flop. Tom

A much larger audience is reached on eBay. Maybe when it was previously listed here the seller priced it at or near his best price. It is priced much high on eBay but the possibility of an offer is available.
