I was just looking at the Musical Treasures of Miami website and I see that Raphael now has a Reginaphone 100 posted. This is a beautiful four minute machine. Maybe I’ll break open the piggy bank and see what’s there. Here’s a link to YouTube.

I think it almost cries out for a cygnet type horn. Not that I'd ever entertain drilling holes in that case !! Very Nice Indeed !!

Shawn O’Rourke wrote an excellent article about this machine in the March, 2018 issue of the APS Magazine. It extensively details the history and mechanics. I would provide a link here, except that I am unsure if the copyright prevents me from doing so. But APS members can easily retrieve it.

Wow -- very cool machine, Raphael! Enjoyed the video too. You might want to check the speed, though. I'm familiar with the various covers of that song, and I think it might be running a bit fast.

Thanks, Grant, but rather than fiddle with it I'm going to send the machine to Ken Danckeart for a complete going-over and "tune-up". It's too rare and valuable a piece for a klutz like me to tinker with.
