Removing Paint Flecks

What's a good way to remove paint flecks from a phono cabinet? I don't know if it is latex or oil based paint. I tried GOOP and fine steel wool, but that did not help.
It's a nice cabinet, but these flecks ruin it. See photo.
Thanks!

I had success with a wooden spatula, it takes patience.

Hi Dave,
MikeB asked the same question. Acetone might work but I always start to pick each spot with my fingernail or the edge of a credit card if the wooden spatula doesn’t work.

I use a toothpick, and take them off one little spec at a time. Absolutely tedious, but more often than not they just lift off the surface after a little nudge without causing damage

Try a flat edge razor blade. Slide the blade carefully over the finish and it will cut all protruding points (in this case the paint droplets)
