Hello,
A seller offers to me a Columbia AS coin operated phonograph. The machine runs, but need to be adjusted. It is all original, ecept the publicity frame that is a old replica. The asking price is 5000 euros. Do you think that the price is correct?
Here some pictures.
Thanks
Albert.

If that is an original nickel plated horn, then yes, it is correct - but you can always make a counter offer...

Albert,

First $6,000 is a lot in this market for an AS. Can't really tell if the horn is original from the angle in the pictures, can't see if the correct elbow is there, also make sure the reproducer is correct there should be a small setscrew on the collar to keep it from flying off during the return, can't see that in the pictures.

I'd try to get him down in the $4K-$5k range, lower is always better, can't hurt to try.
