Does anyone have a Pathé COQ phonograph (early 20th century) that they would be prepared to loan for an exhibition at the Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology, University of Cambridge? I am curating an exhibition about a colonial anthropologist and in one of the displays features the equipment that he used during his surveys in West Africa. He made hundreds of phonograph recordings of songs, stories and 'specimens of language', and we have a photograph which shows his Pathé COQ phonograph in the field. It would be great to display one alongside the period camera equipment, etc. that he used. Further information about the project can be found at https://re-entanglements.net. Please reply here or contact me directly at [email protected]. Many thanks, Paul

The Science Museum has one in their collection in the sort of carrying case that might have been used by your subject.
