Identifying Phonograph In H.C. Spier's Record Store

The phonograph behind the woman, with the odd covering/finish. Can't say I've ever sawed one like it,
outside of something that some hippy, in later years, had repainted or something.

Anyone that can identify the model?

It looks like an embossed faux leather covering that has caught the light

Could be, but at a closeup, it almost looks like something painted.

The unit on the far left and front of the picture looks like a Victor RE-45. That would date the picture to 1929 or so.

You're probably correct that its a printed fabric, but look at the embossed fabric on this Russian portable:

wonder if the Russian portable sounds as good as the 102 it's copied from?

Probably fairly decent- I have a Parlophone styled like that- it has a decently long horn.
