I've had this in my collection for many years and used to have it on the wall when I had a display of other colourful and interesting labels. I can't remember what the actual record is, but I do remember it's something pretty uninteresting. I stumbled across it again and thought others might be amused!

Does this customized label refer to something in the music? Is it tremendously boring or something?

Boring record, dry English humour of many decades ago.

The references to "Utility" and "Austerity" reflect the drab early post war period when everything was rationed.
For my parents generation getting married and furnishing a new home, the choice lay between new "Utility" or second hand.
